Yes, theoretically, but if I only keep 3 of each type each year, 2 hens and a rooster , and use the others just to replace current layers, it need not be that large a population of adult chickens. And if Inhatch as many as Incan to improve my flock or sell, the eggs won’t be available.That's a whole lot of eggs you'll be getting especially having the 55's.
Since neither of these has a SOP tho, I have to decide what I’m breeding for exactly. Egg laying, vigor ,and temperament for sure.
