Anyone have Roadrunner eggs or young for sale?
RoadRunners cant be kept as pets.
Cant you post your reference?
I know native animals are not to be kept as pets but that's native to your state not the whole USA.
I cant keep black an white polecats in Ga but I can keep the gray an white ones because they are not native to Ga.
Protected under the migratory bird treaty act.
I found a loophole. Only the Greater Roadrunner is on that list which means that the Lesser Roadrunner would be keepable.
Native bird laws tend to cover the entire US due to the migratory bird act. Most birds that do any traveling are protected across the whole country which makes it hard to own any of the native birds even if they aren't native to your state.
The greater roadrunner is the only species in the U.S. And they really do run down the roads all day, at least around here, lol. Neither type migrates. I'm guessing that the lesser roadrunner would probably not be a welcome guest in the U.S.
Then the Lesser Roadrunner would be considered an exotic species-even easier to be allowed to keep.
I cant find any where that states its ok to keep roadrunners.
You dont need it to say its ok, just lack of law against it.
