I made roast duck for Christmas dinner and now there are only bones and a little meat left. Can I give it to my girls to peck at? I was wondering about feeding poultry to poultry. Can it cause any disease transfers?

Oh, Gawd! Mine picked turkey carcass clean in 10 minutes. That was their Thanksgiving dinner. Ants ate the rest.....

There is nothing in the world wrong with raw meat either!
I routinely give mine fresh deer hearts and livers that I get from the fellow who runs the deer cooler.

Chickens love anything that is full of blood: excellent food. saladin

Nothig wrong with raw meat, if the dead animal had no disease, worms and etc. Cooking the meat would kill any germs.....freezing it will also kill alot.

Prevention is much better than treatmet after the fact. Why risk your birds to new diseases....

Yes i know people, do so, dont worm, mixes animals. all these have risk.

Some states even have laws forbidding feeding uncook meat to animals for human consumption.

Just because chicken will eat somethig doesnt mean its good for them. They love rock salt, but its poison to them!!!!!!!!!

My Christmas turkey carcass, although mostly stripped of meat for soups, etc. was accepted with relish by my feathered dinosaurs.

I wouldn't want to have a heart attack in the chicken run, and not be found for a few days, or all the family would have left to bury would be bones...
