Migratory Bird Treaty Act
A reminder...
The Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA) prohibits the take (including killing, capturing, selling, trading, and transport) of protected migratory bird species without prior authorization by the Department of Interior U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Protected birds are protected by law. Unless and except as permitted by regulations, it is unlawful to pursue, hunt, take, capture, kill, or possess a protected bird or any part of the protected bird (feathers, bones, etc), their eggs, or their nests.
