ROCHESTER, NH CHICKENSTOCK/SWAP MAY 16TH MUST CALL TO ATTEND

I was looking for australorpe hens and found 2 little cuties. Michelle was true to her word of not buying any more chicks, she bought 4 ancona ducklings instead.

Does anyone know the type of bantam rooster that was in the cage by himself next to the wood duck today? I should have snagged him while I had the chance. I believe the seller is from Seabrook, Does anyone know his name?

I enjoyed the day- got a sunburn but that's ok

All my button quails found good homes (20+!) as well as many chicks. I enjoyed showing people some of the rarer ones or unusual colors. A good bit of everything at the swap, clean, good food, fun people.
And we came home with a duckling!

Here are a few pictures from Rochester:

There were lots of people there checking out the various chicks, chickens, quail, and everything else there was for sale there:

Some older pullets for sale:

You can't really see this well, but I'm standing behind the woman chasing the little boy, and I'm meeting my new rooster, being held by his current owner:

I'll be picking him up next weekend, hopefully!

All in all it was a nice morning. I'm not ready for new birds yet (except for the roo, which was a happy find) but it was neat to meet other chicken folks!

great pics
i got sunburned too then went home to the seacoast and froze at a baseball game, what the heck is up with the weather!!

hehe, why does everyone seem to get the back end of my mother in pics?

my mom said she enjoyed everything even though she didn't sell any of her stuff. it got her out of the house and got to see real roosters instead of her collection of 'maintenance free' ones. she kept pointing out that she liked the serama too, but he was too loud for my liking.

i wish i could have sold my 2 roos but i don't mind keeping them.

i ended up with 2 bantam faverolle chicks and the pair of cochins. i almost lost the male last night when i tried to get them into the coop. he ran to my neighbors yard and hid under their shed for a few minutes. he's now settled into his new digs and got to enjoy some strawberry yogurt today. (wish i got a pic of him with it on his comb and trying to get it off)

I too am looking to find out who this lady is that we bought the ancona ducks from. I forgot to ask a bunch of questions about them.

She was right at the entrance, on the left from the grassy parking lot.

Thanks,
