Rocks in a waterer??

Ok, so somewhere (don't ask me I can't remember) I read that in the waterers for baby chicks you should put rocks in it. (like biger rocks not like grit) So that the chicks don't drownd themselves....Could someone please correct me if I'm wrong doing this, or just say I'm right.

Pebbles or marbles work fine for keeping chicks from soaking or drowning themselves - you are right.
