I am amusing that you mean American Dominique?

If so -

Now keep in mind that other than in the American Dominique the Dominique is known as a color or variety.
Even it the ASoP (American Standard of Perfection) speaks of a Dominique that was single combed that was used to "create" both the Plymouth Barred Rock and the American Dominique.

The term Dominique in poultry can also refer to the "color" of a Leghorn fowl, Game fowl, Italians fowl and Spanish fowl.

If one does a Google Image search for Dom gamefowl or Dominique gamefowl you will see lots of images of this color variety on gamefowl.

Cynthia, thank you for that link! I know dog and horse conformation but am just starting to learn chicken conformation as opposed to just color differances. What a great side by side!
