Thanks everyone for you support. I am trying to comvince myself that it was ok that i didnt go down there and that i probably wouldnt have wanted to see him that way anyways, but i just cant convince myself that.

Bri I have sat there and held a calf when it breathed its last and I have never done it again. It just tore me up.
Don't beat yourself up because you weren't there. You did it right even though it is so hard.
