Rocky rooster gave his life

Well, today is a sad day.

I let the chickens out a few hours early today since I was up all night. Our rooster Rocky it seems did his job protecting the flock and we lost him as a result. I did not know till I got up from sleeping and I went to check on the flock. He is no where to be found and everyone else is accounted for.

Rocky was one of two roos I had and the only one that was in good shape. Captain are other one has a bad leg. Rocky will be missed for my hubby to a shine to him. Now to find a replacement for him as I need more than one roo for I have 22 pullets.
