It's super hot here! :/ my hens don't like it much, especially my chickens who are laying eggs. Anyone know any ways of cooling the hens laying eggs down. I put a fan in and pointed it at the layers.

Yeah it was super hot here too, in the 80's. Hmm other than cool water and the fan you already put in there, I'm not sure about any other methods of cooling them down, but lots of ventilation helps too

Hi everyone! How everyone's birds doing?
My hen Pilot (who lays eggs) has a small spur on one of her feet. It's about an 8th of an inch long, and it looks like a cockrol spur that's not fully formed. Is she part rooster?

No hens aometimes take male characteristics.

Yeah and some hens just have them randomly, and some breeds like Sumatra, hens normally have spurs. It's just a weird chance thing
