I saw this nifty build video that looks pretty do-able for those with basic construction skills.

My chickens prefer to lay in a nest type setting. They never went into an empty box to lay.
I suppose that if that is only private place to lay inside coop,, they would choose such.

Hmmm... I might check this out. I have 3(?) pullets that think the floor is a good place to lay right now. At least they all like the same place on the floor.
