I'm tossing the idea of getting back into competition around in my head. It's been the better part of 10 years since I set foot in the show ring.

My new mare, Sabre, is doing really well W/T and I'm eyeballing some local schooling shows and unrated shows for the green hunter classes. I still have breeches and my show coat, all I need to shop for is a new ratcatcher and tall boots. Oh, and a fitted pad! I don't think the judges would appreciate my beloved homemade print square pads! Sunflowers, anyone?!

So, anyone else hitting the shows this year?

    I probably will...

probably start off at a few local, then off to the jumper circuit (probably only 3'6ft for now), and a few team penning things along the way.

I've thought about it. But I've committed to showing my dogs this year. So I'm just not sure we'll have the resources.

My daughter will be showing this year. Not her own horse though. She'll be using the school horses.

Going to try and show my Andalusian in hand at schooling and local open shows. I think we will be waiting until she is 4y before riding her. I am also hoping to take the Paso Fino to a LD ride this year.

I have a sb paint who is also registered ABRA and I have been showing him for two years at the local shows. We got ROMS in halter, dun factor and amateur halter last year.

He will be four in April and I plan on riding WP next year with him.

I'd like to but my mare is not ready for anytype of busy atmosphere. She will completly flip out when there is lots of comotion so shows are out of the question.

Maybe in a couple of years.
