Roll Out Nesting Box

A couple of years ago I bought a really nice roll out box. The next part is on the inside of the coop and the roll out is on the outside, making it easy to collect the eggs.

Problem: The girls just refuse to use the box. I've gone through 3 set of new birds and none of them will use that crazy box. I called the company and they told me that in time they would us it....hummm...that's been two years now with no luck. I'd sure like some advice on how to get the hens to use this box. I'm just at the end of my rope.

What nest box is it? Maybe a pic would give a clue to why they don't seem to like it.

Have you placed fake eggs in the box? What sort of bedding in the nest box do you use? I know that many people use nesting pads, etc. I use hemp, and my girls love it. They putter around, pulling it up around themselves in a nest.

Have you tried blocking off the area where they do lay? I might try the suggestions above to glam up the roll-out box before blocking off the current area though.
