Roller x homer

I had a whole loft of roller X homer pigeons. I raised them trying to 'create' a more hawk evasive bird than the pure rollers but one that would still roll upon occasion. They were quite hawk 'smart' and evasive but I lost the roll almost entirely.

Hi thanks for the reply much apreciated any chance you have a photo of the outcome thanks Sourland

I don't have pictures. I selected for an all black flock - some with white flights. In conformation they were mid way between homer and roller. They were larger than the rollers but not quite as large as the homers. Some would tail ride, and some would do occasional flips, but nothing would roll like the rollers. The roller family I bred from was extremely deep and fast. The strong winged nature of the homers was dominant for sure.
