Roo acting strange (when it rains it pours)

I posted this in the emergency forum yesterday with no answer so I thought I would try here today.
Okay I just had a hen die with impacted crop (I think). Now this morning (yesterday now) my rooster was last to come out of coop and he was hopping kinda and flapping his wings jerking his head side to side. It seems like I read something on BYC about this but now I cant find it. Is there something wrong?

it is like when he starts to straighten his leg out to finish his step it triggers his wings to flap.

Do you think it's a crop problem with him also?? Did you change food? I wish I could help you, how is he now and the rest of your flock?

I went from purina crumbles to purina pellets. I work 2nd shift so i want know till tomorrow.

More details would be helpful too.
My roos tend to be the last ones out.
Jerking could be do to nerve damage.
