What kind of rooster is this? He is currently at our animal shelter after being found as a stray. Young, probably a last fall chick, not very big...maybe the size of a sex-link or leghorn at that age. Small pointy spurs. Handsome coloring, easily handled. Am I totally wrong in thinking maybe a phoenix mix or leghorn mix? He is a Golden something.
He is in Murray, KY and needs a home. Hope I uploaded the picture right!
 
Too big for a bantam. I wondered about the jungle fowl too, but thought that was pretty rare. Any other guesses? I need to post him on petfinder.com before I go to work to get him adopted.
 
Phenoenox roosters can take 2 years for the tail to grow in, some do not get a good tail at all,also phenoex have slate legs.He does kind of look like my mixed oegb( whis was supposed to be a phenoenox!
