Roo attacked by dog! Help!

Hi
James is drinking well - he is not eating at all (I gave him mash). I have cut out the electrolytes and have not peroxided him since yesterday am(Thursday) - He is standing all the time.
He seems alert - maybe 10% of his normal self.
Our spirits are lifted!
Thanks for all the advice!
The lights are on in the basement but I"m not sure if that is bright enough - we have added more daylight..
I'll try small slices of apple later (one of his favorites) and I'll cook another egg.
Thanks!
Peggy

hi
Been gone for 5 days - Dh was nurse.
James was crowing to beat the band a few days ago - and is now back with the girls in the coop. No pecking - all seems well.
Thanks for all the advice!
He seems like he is doing great...
will post current photo when I see him on Thursday am!

Thanks
Peggy

yea!
great job!
did you have a talk with the neighbors about what they need to do to deep their doggie in their yard/out of yours? it sounds like they are concerned so hopefully it will be easy to work with them to achieve that goal!
congrats . . . so many of these stories end badly, it's nice to see one end so well!
(and rubio, my rescue, dogattack survivor sends james his roosterish best wishes too)

I just read your thread. Sounds like you're doing all the right things. It's a good thing it's winter and cold because flies and maggots can make the situation go from bad to worse very quickly. Keep us posted and GOOD LUCK!

We are on really good terms with the neighbors - she is a huge animal lover - and was very upset. They figured out how the dog got out on the night of the attack and fixed that.
I"m so glad for BYC you all really saved James Bond!

Thanks
