if it was another rooster i would understand it as a dominance issue, but poor girl.

and he full on, feet first, hackle feathers splayed, mean attacks.

he is only about 7 weeks, not old of to mate i would think..?

How many chicks do you have in the group?
Sounds like he is sparing with her. Boys can be rough in their playfights.
7 weeks sounds too young for them to be thinking of mating. May need to seperate him from the girls for a bit to see if that settles him down some.

i have 9 chickens.

3 Roosters, 6 hens.

all the roos get along great, never seen them fight. lol
