Roo being ignored by old time friends: hen

I've got 1 rooster, 1 hen, and 4 chicks. The rooster is disabled so he can't walk and my hen was his companion but recently I have introduced the 4 chicks to them and they first picked at each other but now the hen is abandoning my rooster and hanging out with my healthy chicks.... I feel really bad for the rooster since the hen was his only companion and they grew up together but I also understand that the hen is interested in the chicks. What should I do to make the roo feel better? He looks so lonely, and he already can't walk properly...

I'm honestly not sure what to suggest. If he's a pet (which i assume he is) rather than going towards the spectrum of being livestock then you may have some tough decisions to make regarding his present quality of life and your responsibility as an owner.

Good luck and i hope that other members have some more up-beat suggestions.
