I'm in the middle of decorating a cake and my son in tears brought in my favorite roo saying he was dead. He said he saw another roo chase Al into a wall head on. At this point I'm not sure if I should try save Al or not. He is breathing with his beak open. His eyes are open now they weren't at first. He has trouble standing and wobbles around. One leg doesn't seem to fold under him well when he lays down. I can't see any injuries or feel anything broken. He's my favorite and I'd love to save him but at the same time I don't want him suffering either. Right now he is in the dog crate in the basement. Any advice?

Bummer.

Keep him warm and comfy in the crate until you finish the cake. He's likely in shock or concussed, So warm and dark quiet time alone is a must for several hours. If he brightens up a bit later, you can offer water and perhaps some scrambled eggs.
At this point, it's a wait and see situation. If he will drink later, add some vitamins or sugar to his water. He might recover or he might not, you really do just have to wait.

Good luck, I hope he recovers.
