Ok, this is a clearer pic of Little Head.

Also, whats the best way to tell?

I think you can normally tell by the comb and the tail.
A male has a bigger and more pronounced comb, they also have longer fluffyer tails, and normally they are bigger in size then females.
Females have small combs if any combs at all, little poofs for tails and are smaller.

And here is a comparison photo

so
to me, you look like you got a hen, but if you can, show us its face more

I'd have to give her/him a feathercut in order to show you the face. You can not even find the eyes or ears unless you are move it! I will try thou. Thanks for a comparrison pick. If thats the case, then I think I have 3 hens and 2 roos. Only 2 of the silkies are starting to show that type of tail feather.

From what I understand, the females all have a round head piece, and the males kinda flow back and have little streamer like feathers, you can not tell by the combs (they don't follow the same rules as other breeds

) my males and females all have diff. size combs, on mine, the tails are more whispy too and the females are more of a bun shape so Im guessing Girl. But Silkies are sooooo hard to guess at, also did you say how old she was??
