Large Fowl Cochin. 9 weeks. I am leaning toward Roo for the partridge. I am still holding out hope for my white one as a pullet.

Help! Can’t have Roos in city. I bought as pullets.

I personally think they look like hens, with large combs, however I have no experience with this breed, I have had a Rhode Island Red roo and a polish tophat roo

Did you buy them from a hatchery or a breeder?

My other one. This is a pullet. I was hoping white is fast maturing. Wishful thinking

The partridge seems to be getting cockerel colors.

Still, I would wait until they start crowing. they do not crow well at first so you will have time to re home them

I have a home that won’t kill them now. I can’t wait long. I want them to live if I can’t keep them.
I’d rather lose a maybe girl and her have a life with someone else. Rather than loose a home and life for a male.
I would send off the partridge. The white one is not clear to me yet.
