Roo or hen?? Please help

We thought this was a roo, so we re-homed a week ago. The farmer is not an expert, but called us to say they don't think it's a rooster. Chicken Nugget is about 3 months old and my daughters were very attached to him/her. It's a mixed breed. Should we bring her back home?

This look like a cockerel. I see the 'saddle feathers' as rounded, however just wait for oily feathers to appear on them. The oiled feather features may appear on the neck/base of the wings as well. Here is an example image of a rooster chick with these so-called 'oily feathers':

They have a thinner outline and are more skinny/smooth, hence 'oily', besides the black feather on the farthest left.
