Roo or hen?

Okay so I'm curious as to if this ameraucana (or possible EE) is a roo or hen. They are 5 weeks and 3 days the day these pictures were taken. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks!

First three pics are of the bird in question. The last two are of the same breed and age added for comparison.

The bird in question is DEFINITELY a cockerel.

It's a cockerel. You can tell by there being three rows on the pee comb forming earlier than the pullets. It also way more red than it should be for a hen at this age.

With the rust on the wings and the comb, that's definitely a cockerel. He won't be a rooster until he's a year old, btw.

Too young. Post pics of the comb at 8 weeks.

Although a lot of male EE's have red shoulders, it doesn't always mean they are male, if they have them. I've seen females with them. Also, I raised EE pullets last year, and they both had three rows on their combs.

I honestly thought she/he was a hen until that comb turned that bright red. The other has more of a tan/fleshy pink color and it doesn't seem to be as wide as Tiger's (the bird in question). I will post more pics of the combs at 8 weeks too.

I'm leaning towards cockerel too. Comparing with the other pics his comb is bigger and redder. But a few more weeks will really tell.
