any thoughts on if my 18 week old is a Roo or hen? Comb and wattle really just came in.

Technically pullet or cockerel until 1 year old. Those terms mostly matter when discussing behavior or health issues.

I confirm pullet.. male specific pointy saddle feather are usually starting to show around 12 weeks and well in by 16 (in non hen feathered breeds).. example from google..

Comb and wattle really just came in.
They usually red up about 1 month before the onset of lay, in my experience.

Also in barred Rocks.. the males get a double dose of barring from their dames.. giving them a much lighter appearance.. and usually noticeable much younger.

Lovely lady. :love
