I'm still not familiar with identifying until I hear the crows! What are your thoughts on this baby? Chick is about 8 weeks and has bonded with a younger chick otherwise it would be outside at this point... Thanks for the help!

Chicky is half sex link and half silkie

Silkies are always tough but I think pullet in this case. It looks like she has a small cross beak. Search around on BYC for caring for chickens with cross beak. I've never dealt with it but I believe some people recommend careful trimming so it's easier for them to eat.

Thank you! I thought it was a form of a scar because she had a tough time hatching and the other chicks would peck in her pip! I will investigate!
