So far, looks girlish, Maxx. You cannot tell male or female from the color of a Barred Rock cross, not like the purebreds. Most of my BR/Ameraucana cross males are the same shade as a purebred BR pullet. This is what I'm talking about, a BR/Amer cockerel:
