Roo or hen?

Even though the bird is getting loud, there is a clear line between egg songs and a rooster's crow, as well as a difference in the actual noise. This looks like pullet. Try standing over the bird and picking it up. If it squats, you have a girl.

Thanks for the input everyone!! I am hoping pullet but even if a Roo I don't mind the bird is beautiful. I have a BR rooster and a New Jersey Giant Roo already those 2 bicker all the time but don't mess with the buff that's why I am leaning towards a pullet too cause I would think if it is a Roo those 2 would be picking on that bird. I have had my flock since they were babies all together. I started with 10. 2 new Jersey giants, 2 buffs, 2 BR, 1 GLW, 1 CW, 1 BUff Brahma, and 1production red. I have a colorful flock to say the least but they are spoiled, they are my kids!!

anybody know if the barred rock is a roo or hen it is only 24 weeks and has a full red comb bigger than all my other hens

Here's my rock rooster at 26 weeks long tail feathers big and his cackle feather are long pointy and obviously silver typical in rocks

So I say hen. I have a few hens and roosters. And there's a big difference in color tail feathers. Definitely a hen

This is a rooster. Aside from the comb/wattles, his long, stringy hackle feathers are there and pointy saddle feathers are coming in. Curved sickle (sp?) feathers coming in in the tail.

Rooster
