Roo or Hen

Were new at keeping hens and are more or less clueless so have no idea what type or gender they are lol

Find the little round circles of white feathers on the side of their head. That is their actual ear. Behind that, is a patch of skin. If it's white, then you have leghorns, which are a Mediterranean breed, meaning they'll be a smaller size, with long tail feathers that angle upwards...They lay white eggs..if they're red, or pinkish red, then you probably have a heavier breed of chicken like a white Plymouth Rock, which lays brown eggs.
As far as gender, a leghorn grows a monsterous size comb, so even though it looks rooish, there's a good chance it'll be a pullet. If it's a white rock, I'm not too sure how fast they're combs grow.

Heres some more pics of the one we think is a boy

I see red lobes. Not a leggern. Don't lose all hope of them being pullets. Keep your ears open and listen for attempted crows. Also, they should be bigger in size, and their neck feathers should start coming in pointed. And start watching for pointed saddle feathers coming in on their back, in front of tail. The saddle feathers will begin to drape down their side. Might have a couple more weeks, but keep your eyes and ears open.
