roo or hen

I have a barred rock. I thought was a pullet because the lady i got him from when he was a day old said he was a pullet, well it turns out the little booger is crowing. He started a couple a weeks ago after my oeg roo was crowing. Is it possible that it is just a dominate hen imating my roo. I will post a pick.

Looks very hennish, but i dont work much with large breeds.are you sure thats it crowing?

Yes its crowing almost everytime my roo does. It is getting alot better at it. The lady I got him from said she guarinted it to be pullet. She put a string on a needle and said she would show me something an old farmer showed her and she said she had only been wrong twice. I don't know I am going to keep it no matter what but I was hoping it was going to be a hen.

Its barring is light in colour, so it is a roo!!!!

Hens are usually a lot darker.

Yes he is light. October first he will be two months old.

2 months, yep. That's when my BR started crowing.
