I am new to having chickens. I have four supposedly Ameracauna chickens. They are just over 11 weeks old. I am posting them individually so there is no question which bird is being discussed. They were bought from a feed store so I expect they are really Easter Eggers.
1) Do you think they are EE'ers?
2) Is this a roo or a pullet?
This one is Pepper. When they were small, I thought Pepper was a roo because he/she was the biggest and seemed to be the leader. Over the past few weeks Pepper is no longer the top chicken, but not the bottom either. The hackle feathers look on the pointed side to me. He/She does not have the muffs that the two suspected roos have, but the tail looks roosterish to me. I'm so hoping for a girl. The fourth one is Salt and I think she is a girl so it would be great to have Salt and Pepper in my hen house.
