Hi everyone, I am new to BYC and faverolle chickens so need some help with sexing one in particular.
I have had chickens for a quite a few years and have tried various breeds. We have a bantam road island red, 5 isa browns. Then I added what was supposed to be 3 araucanas girls but 2 turned out to be roos unfortunately and I am not allowed to keep them (absolutely devastated) as they are beautiful.
So I drove 3hr round trip for 2 faverolles but I really think one is a roo due to the tail for one, so any help would be great as the seller is still saying its a pullet? I have my doubts after the last fail with my other two roos - one of which had a similar tail. The last photo is of the other one and I am sure it is a pullet. Thanks in advance and look forward to learning more in my love of these beautiful creatures.

So some girls have whispy tails? Their tail feather look different from one another.

So with this information in mind what would you say about this one it was supposed to be an araucana cross pullet but now suspect it is a roo and could have sworn it tried to crow a few days ago but hasn't tried again. So before I give it away thinking it is a roo I would love your opinions 😀 unfortunately the black one is a definite roo (he is beautiful and so gentle)

The faverolle is a pullet, no doubts. Male and female salmon faverolles are sexually dimorphic; meaning the male and female looks completely different. Females are the color of your bird. Males are black and silver.
The second bird doesn't look like an araucana cross. It looks like a cross, but not an araucana. Wrong comb for one.
How old are your birds? Depending on age, the red could be a cockerel, but the age is important.
the black chicken next to the red is a cockerel. You can tell because of the colors.
