Roo or Pullet? Rhode Island Red 6 weeks old

There it is...on HER head! Yay!

Now, I'd sure like to know if it turns out we are wrong.... Keep us posted!

I have one I think is a roo. I can't get a pic to load but went back and looked at chick pics and no strip... Lol makes me think even more she's actually a he. Yikes.

Then stumbled upon this tip: when they are chicks, if there is a dark spot OR better yet, a dark thin stripe down center if baby's head, it's a girl.

For anyone revisiting this old thread now that it is up - if this ID method turns out to be correct, it is entirely coincidental
