I got two chicks from my daughter’s class and this one is exhibiting more and more roo characteristics. The red comb, and growing faster than the other one I got. I hope I am wrong since it seems to be my daughter’s favorite. What does everyone think?

Certainly a boy, just be prepared in case it develops a bad attitude once it matures. It seems the favorite cockerels as chicks often turn into little terrors, at least for me!

Even my 11 week old pullets are brats . . .first time raising chicks they were spoiled and cuddled . .now they want to climb on me when I'm trying to work in the yard, lol.

Boy. I'm curious, how old is he and what are you feeding him? Just asking because he seems a little stunted and like his feathers aren't growing in properly.

I think it looks about right oddoneout. It looks like 3-4 weeks old. I have 2 mystery gender chicks who are developing slow. They're almost 4 weeks and they look exactly this.
