Roo pecking pullet...

We have 2 Marans from the same "litter". Both are 8-9 weeks.
One is 100% a pullet. The other one is probably a roo.

The suspect roo keeps attacking the pullet, in a "I'm harder than you!" kind of way...and will actively run 1-2 meters to get a strike in.

Is this a common thing?
Surely he's blowing his chances of ever getting jiggy with her later on...?

Could be a roo but could be a pullet. In my experience pullets do more running and jumping than the cockerals. But if it is a cockeral, he will get his jiggy whether she likes it or not. It is just a pecking order thing. If you dont see blood dont worry.
