Roo problem - how to tame a mean one

I usually give a good kick to mine. Crowing at them loudly while holding out your arms like wings help too. This shows that you are the head rooster. Although if he doesn't quit, I would put him in a crockpot with potatoes and carrots. I found that mean roosters are more delicious. Mmmmm...

The person who is being attacked needs to handle the rooster. The rooster is defending his flock, his job if you really think about it, and sees this person as a threat for whatever reason. Does he attack anyone else. If yes, he needs some serious handling to re-establish the pecking order placing humans on the top. If it is only this person, something about him is threatening the rooster i.e. does he walk with a cane, wear a heavy scented cologne, or something is setting this poor rooster off. Before eating him, try to rehabilitate unless you have an overabundance of roosters...then I agree....in the pot he goes!

I love the confining to a crock pot. Like I said right now my brother says he is headed in that direction. My dad has a lot of health problems and that is the only thing we can think of for a reason he REALLY attacks my dad. He is aggressive towards other people but not all out attack like he does towards my dad.

thank for all the advice.

I just had to give mine up today to some guys i work with for their dinner...

I hatched this guy from an egg and he was one of my first, i love him! But he's left me with several scars now, and has gotten to the point that I can't even go in the coop at all, not even with a broom or stick or anything, he attacked the giant shovel yesterday! I feel so bad about it, i hate myself for it, but I've been trying to over a month now to get him to calm down and be a good little rooster and have had no success...
