A little over 4 weeks old- have had suspicions- most confident/friendly chick, biggest, fullest tail, now this. A Smokey pearl from TSC. Terrible shot, was actually a video to show my husband, no sound yet but looks like it’s trying to crow whenever it wakes up!

The crowing ones are hard to get and I can’t attach a video but here’s a better picture.

For comparison, the one on the left is the suspect one.

Thank you! I’m hoping it’s a pullet- I picked from the pullet bin but knew there’s still room for error without the color sexing. 😕

Four weeks is a little young to be sure. Sometimes you can but a little more time can help. The signs to look for are a comb and wattles. Often at five weeks the comb is more pronounced and red on a boy. If you can see a wattle at five weeks it's probably a boy. A boy often has thicker legs and a more upright posture. I can't see those things in your photos so I'm not going to guess.

But you might try posting more photos in a week. A close-up of the head and a profile shot showing the legs and posture.
