Hi

Ok, this is my first time raising chickens.

I have all BO's, I have 2 roos one that was
ordered on purpose and one that was a surprise.

The one that was ordered (Roy) acts like a roo, looks like
a roo, and does roo things.

I have another chick (Rockey) we think he is a roo, he has all
the signs but acts like a hen. Strangle enough he is also
one of the smaller chicks in the flock.

Is is possible that he is a she or can roos act like hens?

This being the case, for those who have experience with roos,
will Rocky grow to be an aggressive roo seeing that he thinks he
is a hen now.

here is a pic of our roo in question. He?? is 5 wks old.

Thanks

The top picture looks like a roo but the bottom pic could be pullet.
Here is a pic of some of my 6 week old chicks. The white ones are the pullets.

Wow I have a 3-4 wk BO - I thought was a hen, but after looking at yours I am wondering could this be a roo as well?

It is so much bigger than the others, and it is the same age- I just thought it had to do with the breed.

I know what you mean, I cannot decide if it is a roo or a pullet.
The funny thing is, he or she is among the smallest of the flock.

I have another roo (which) I intended to have that is the largest
of the flock right now. So to have a roo that is the largest and a
possible roo that is the smallest is making it hard to tell what
exactly it is.

LizzieMac, I think that your chick is a pulllet, she looks like a lot of the
pullets that I have. She is really cute!!!

Here is a pic of one of my pullets, hopefully this will help you.
