Oh my...all this sounds so grim.
I have a young black Olive Egger that I think is a roo and a beautiful blue/gold EE that looks to be a roo. I've let myself get attached
and don't think I could possibly eat either one. I know better too.
I have roos coming with a pullet order in July. I ordered them special for freezer camp so there will not be a problem with them.
These other 2 were raised with broodies and for some reason I forgot to keep my guard up.
I pray my little Lazarus is not a roo either. I can't handle doing freezer camp with him/her at all. I'm in trouble as I live in town and can't have coops everywhere.
