roo to hen ratio - fertlization

how many hens can a roo successfully mate with without, shall we say causing injury to them or him?

Also does:
1 mating = only 1 fertilized egg or does the hen save up the sperm so 1 mating can give many fertilized eggs after the initial mating

It differs for the type of rooster but I'm pretty sure the ratio on average is about 1:10.
After 1 mating the hen can lay fertile eggs for about 2 weeks
