I have 2 roos both with pretty cool voices. Though this morning my one roos sounds like someone stepped on a duck. His crow is raspy and hoarse. Any thoughts?

I have a hen who periodically sounds like she has laryngitis when she "talks". Also, sometimes sounds like she has asthma with a wheezy breathing. No other symptoms and acts normal in every other way. I have been told by an avian vet, though that it is a chronic respiratory viral infection. No particular treatment and the other hens don't seem to have an active case of this virus, although they may be carriers.

Hope that's not the case with your roo. [IMG]

You may want to separate him for a few days from the others and see what happens.
