roo with red legs

I have a beautiful buff orphington roo and it has been snowy and cold here occasionally his legs become very red not particularly the feet but the legs i have applied a&d ointment to them last night but.. now this morning his legs seem more red i don't see any inflammation or swelling and he doesn't seem to have any problems walking. would this just be from the snow and cold?

Frequently red legs in roosters is an indication of high hormonal activity - generally nothing to worry about.
