Roo with very pale comb and wattles

Your arm was covered? Yikes. Yes, must deal with the mites immediately or you'll lose them. The roo may be on the cusp of too weak to go on so hurry to treat him if you find any on him. Check the birds carefully to make sure its mites that are on them and not just another kind contracted unrelated to them. Use the 'search' mech above to see what folks are using for mites.
There are a number of folks who are of the belief (and some scientific analysis concurs) that hen food is not proper food for roos (too much calcium). I feed my birds game bird maintenance (layer is also available so that both girl food and boy food are at hand but everyone hates the layer food) . Oyster shell is available 24/7. I also put Avia Charge 2000 supplement in their water Eggs - perfect.

I agree, the mites are the immediate concern, when there are that many. Probably the cause of the paleness. An infestation can make them so anemic they can die from it.

The black spots I would guess are either fowl pox (avian pox) or pecking (or some other minor injury.) In either case, I'd treat them with a bit of Betadine or Neosporin, or whatever you have, to prevent a secondary infection from occurring.

We have cleaned all three coops used Sevin dust on everything and replaced bedding. I will dust all the birds once they roost this evening. Thank you for your help.
