By hubby thought the seller said he was a game cross, but I think she was talking about the hens we bought at the same time. He doesn't look all that 'muttish' to me....the hens are all a x breed.

This is not a Welsummer and not a Old English Game as both have single combs. The Old English from cackle have dubbed combs.
With the rose comb I would think that he is a Wyandotte
and may be a cross breed but the leg color and a lot of his color looks like a golden wyandotte.
Maybe someone that has this breed can enlighten us.
He is a nice roo what ever he may be.

Thank you members, looks like you're narrowing it down....he is a handsome young roo I just don't know what to tell people about his breed

I have him for sale with his 6 ladies.
So his comb and leg color rule out OEG...good to know.

I think he is a mix; perhaps a Hamburg was one of the parents. That would explain the rose comb and nice tail feathers.

He is gorgeous!!! he might have some game in him with the way he holds his wing. i thought he might have some Cubalaya in him with the long tail feathers???? The pictures blurry so i can't really tell but does he have a pea comb? thats what the cubalaya have.

I'm just learning and don't know the names of the combs yet. Okiehen mentions a 'rose comb'.
(He sure has a fast dance for the ladies...he's trying to mate any hen he can...even my new ones.
He's good at mating now...no feathers missing on his ladies.)

The comb reminds me of a Hamburg... but I am not sure.. Good luck!
