That's why it's hard to say for sure a bird is a pullet at a young age, those combs can spring up in practically no time! He's a cutie, glad to hear he's got a good home waiting.

Luckily, he's always been skittish and stand offish, so I haven't gotten attached to him like the others. He did come out and lay on my legs last night, which was a big step for him. He's always on high alert and anxious.
 
Well, I'm still not sure and am now wondering if possible hen. She's still clucking and purring, but no attempts at crowing. Her comb looks more red in pics. It's pink in person. It also appears to be a pea comb vs a single comb. She/he is around 11-12 weeks old and is an Olive Egger.

Well, last week he crowed and has every morning since. I found him a great new home that he's moving to tomorrow.
