Love your post - I just learned a lot. Guess the masses agree with a covered run. Funny how this chicken addiction goes from a $1.75 chick to a $500 coop - ouch the initial costs were more than I thought. But they always say better to do it right the first time.

I checked out your coop building pics - it's looking great!!! Can't wait to see more pics from you, after these snow storms.
