Roofing Materials Suggestions for the most egg laying.

Oh gosh, certainly don't do a clear roof (or any part thereof) in TEXAS!

I lived in Texas for over 20 years with the last few being by Lake Travis definately don't use clear panels unless you want fried chicken like the others have said! You need to build your coop like people do in hot climates, your winters are very mild and unless there is bad weather will really never have to close your coop up. Take a look at some of the designs that have 3 sides open that they just screen with hardware cloth for natural ventilation. Your don't need 4 walls like northern coops.
