Roofing the henhouse and coop...What's okay?

My coop is just an old shed, and I did use that clear roof panelling for a window in the shed to let natural light in. I figured I could put something over it if it got too cold in the winter, but that hasn't been an issue. It also can hinge open when it's nice. My silkies seem to like it - with no additional light they're laying very well in the middle of January - and it's colder here.
I have a very large attached run with hardware cloth sides that the sun can shine in... It is roofted with metal roofing panels that protect them from the elements, and also provide some shade. It will get hot here too in the summer. I made everything very predator proof also.
