Has any one ever successfully rooted camelia cuttings? Any tips or secrets to get cuttings to take / root?

My mom always used root tone (sp?) and covered the trays with vented saran wrap. She used vermiculite in the trays and kept them damp.

Have not done it with Camelias, however the rooting hormone works great in many different types of bushes.

I was living in California when I did this a few years ago. I used cinnamon, believe it or not. Just immerse the stem of your cutting in the cinnamon and put it in vermiculite - then wait.
