3 weeks-I had a roo killed-he was my only roo that was mating my hens-I checked their eggs the 21st day after his death and 1 still had a bullseye on it! So 3 weeks for me
wow a really young sussex roo, got one of the barred hens i was wanting to breed to the barred roo, i guess i could check for fertility,
how do i check for that? i forget, by candling or openinng the egg?
When I was starting to separate, I had asked how long to separate and I got the 2 week answer from a majority of the replies....doesn't mean it is the correct one or maybe I lucked out! 3 weeks may be the safer way to go!
